Before my sophomore year, I was a raw athlete and really didn’t have a base foundation for myself; I was out there "playing to play."
Then one day I met Jonny, and he told me, “You have the potential to play at the next level.” I really trusted him. I took that from him and we got to work right away. He helped me become better in terms of speed, agility; he worked on my stability and my mobility, and I became more explosive as a result.
After working on all of those aspects of my game, I became a much better football player — my junior and senior year, I just started dominating football. And, that’s how I got to NIU and how I got other schools to look at me.
